Brock Bowling is a versatile radio and television sports broadcaster with over 25 years of professional broadcasting experience. Currently, Brock is a television play-by-play broadcaster for ESPN3 and ESPN+ covering NCAA Division 1 College Football, Basketball, Baseball, Softball and Volleyball games. Since 2018, Brock has been the lead TV play-by-play voice of various sports at Wofford College on the ESPN digital platforms, as well as the lead TV play-by-play voice of certain sports at Furman University since 2020. Since November of 2016, Brock has also been a play-by-play broadcaster for the Greensboro Swarm (the NBA G League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets) as well as a play-by-play broadcaster for select college basketball games on ESPNU, ESPNews and ESPN2. Brock has also broadcast select NCAA college basketball games for FOX Sports 1 (FS1) since November of 2021. From 2017 to 2023, Brock served as one of the play-by-play broadcasters for The Basketball Tournament (TBT) on the ESPN Family of Networks. From 2004 to 2013, Brock worked in various capacities for the IMG Sports Network serving as a radio play-by-play broadcaster, studio host and radio production assistant. Brock was the lead radio play-by-play voice of the Big East Conference Basketball Game of the Week and the Big East Tournament for IMG College from the 2009-10 season through the 2012-13 season until the dissolution of the league.
A native of Garden City, Kansas, Brock graduated from the University of Kansas with a broadcast journalism degree in December of 1997. After working as a radio station sports director and play-by-play broadcaster in three different markets in Kansas, including two seasons as the voice of the Kansas Jayhawk baseball team, Brock moved to Santa Barbara, California where he served as the radio play-by-play voice of men's and women's basketball and baseball games for the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos.
In 2004, Brock moved on to Winston-Salem, NC to work for ISP Sports (now IMG College). Over the years at IMG, Brock served as the studio host of football and basketball radio broadcasts for several IMG properties including Southern Mississippi, the University of Washington and the University of South Florida. Brock spent three seasons calling radio play-by-play of Wake Forest Women's Basketball and Wake Forest Baseball along with the ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament and ACC Baseball Tournament for IMG and XM satellite radio. Brock also served as a fill-in play-by-play broadcaster for many IMG schools including Arkansas, Western Kentucky, Florida State, UCLA, Southern Mississippi, Wake Forest and Ohio.
In 2012, Brock began calling Division 1 college football games for ESPN3 and added college basketball games to his list of assignments for ESPN3 in 2014. On December 10, 2016, Brock made his national TV debut on ESPNU as he called the play-by-play of the Rhode Island vs. Houston men's college basketball game.
In his spare time, Brock enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, watching sporting events, true crime shows, listening to music and working out. He’s a self-proclaimed historian of the Super Bowl and Kansas Jayhawk Basketball.
